Well, the "big" if "Fat Nick" Minucci was finally decided. Guilty of hate crimes and assault charges, was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a judge who could have given 25 years. Minucci is 20 years old, of Howard Beach, New York, convicted of assaulting a black teenager in search of stealing cars in the predominantly white neighborhood. In New York, this was the headlines.

All the usual suspects were there as "Reverend" Al Sharpton (yes, the term is used lightly here) and the whole range of "civil" wrongs "players. But even a guy like Sharpton knows a place like New York is easy territory for a conviction against a white man in a case of "racial". It has become as predictable as the sun rises. Years of exaggerating some crimes and totally downplay others (the majority) have led to repression in a "" for a safe, politically incorrect and a shrug of shoulders in the most common and usually the most violent without the racial and religious propaganda. Shouting insults at the black, anti-gay or anti-Semitic insults insults accompanied by the smallest action can make someone to jail for more than one person brutally beat another person of any race or religion, but said very little. Here is where we are and what is happening everywhere.

Some say this is no big deal, since it is so wrong and harmful to do something along racial and religious lines. First, is to punish someone on the basis of a scary thought and secondly (and most important) that is becoming increasingly clear "hate crimes laws" are an outrageous lie and massive violation of the equal protection clause of Amendment 14. In short, white men are the goal in many cases. This is true in various cities throughout the nation.
Despite all the hype surrounding hate crimes, accounting for less one percent of all crimes, the leveling of charges are often political. For Minucci, some kind of confrontation occurred and the word "nigger" was used. He chased the black youths and hit one and proceeded to beat him over the head with a baseball bat. It is not good, actually. Little attention to its history of a string of attempted robbery of a friend. He received the usual tongue lashing by a judge in the case that could have sentenced him to a fascist-like 25 years in prison. , Received 15 and could be around 12.

Meanwhile, shortly after this case occurred, a young white man named Thomas Whitney got into a kind of discussion with several Muslim men near a Manhattan nightclub. Shouting "!@#$," white mother and proceeded to beat him killed. Then they stole. All were arrested and charged with robbery and murder. No hate crimes. The police said something about race is not the main reason. And that was it. No lobbyists. No politicians. No media. Nothing. That is the norm in many cases.

And New York is far from be the only city like this. When white tourists were murdered in Miami, walking most black neighborhoods, race was hardly mentioned. The savage murder three years, Stephanie Kuhen in Los Angeles, where a driver named Tim Stone made a "wrong path" in a gang-riddled, non-white area. Animals in the area proceeded to run in the car, block, and began shooting. Mr. Stone was shot in the back. The child was killed and her two-year-old brother, Joe, was shot in the foot. The arrests were made with the race to become a rare mention. Imagine the reverse? Examples of any city are too numerous to list here.

Most sentences are government statistics. The National Survey of Crime Victimization and Crime reports FBI uniform is the standard used to monitor trends in crime. Of the approximately 770,000 interracial crimes identified in the latest study, a whopping 85% in black on white. Also shown is the fact the crime was committed in more whites to blacks that the black "vaunted"-in the newspapers black crime, politicians, academics, and to talk about is safe.

Why is it mentioned? Because anyone with a brain who knows something, if not many, of these crimes had a racial component, but simply dried up. A serial rapist targeting women of a certain race at violations are generally not a hate crime. A murder where the money was taken suddenly becomes a "murder and robbery" as the unfortunate Mr. Whitney New York, and ends there. The rare white-on-black or white on Asian rape, murder or assault begins as a race course was part of it and an epithet released becomes a reason for hate crimes charge. The other way around the use of race must be overwhelming.
A challenge to the constitutionality of laws Hate crimes are done in the past and defeated. However, the challenges were related to the vagueness of the law. In addition, challenges occurred years ago. The increase data and a challenge based on the inability to protect citizens on an equal basis should be the address here.

While saying something to hurt the feelings someone on the basis of the very makeup of a person is nasty, low, should not result in increased penalties if accompanied by action. Why not simply action to punish yourself? This is particularly true with something that can be so political. For if the words form the basis for a term of imprisonment, even the most ardent advocates of hate crime laws may close the victims.
