What can I do for the trip in San Fransico?

Friends are planning a trip to San Francisco and we've never been there. We are looking cheap but decent hotel. A good location for attractions, nightlife and coach of Alcatraz. Any suggestion will help. Thank you.

* _ ~ I'm glad you're thinking of San Francisco for vacation. Try to stay in Union Square. Upon arrival at the airport, take the train to the SFO in the air surrounding the airport, then you get off when he sees Bart, Bart to take the Powell station (should be around $ 6-9 and it takes 20 minutes) is from Union Square. http://www.bart.gov/ for schedule .. I love the climate and diverse culture here! Traffic can be hectic, but still bearable. Public transportation is great! You can always take Bart, ferries, bus, taxi or car, cable etc. However, if you do not have much time or want to travel out of town – I think a car would be helpful. Yes, you have to pay for parking, but save time to go more places faster .. Try the "City Sightseeing Open Top Bus Tour," which is about $ 30. "This unique open-top bus tour of San Francisco includes four different routes, the Center Loop, Golden Gate Loop, the Park Loop, and the loop of the Night." Eres free up and down many times as you want in the loop of the city. Embarcadero is evil good, and it is now, so you could actually just walk by it to the building Ferry. http://www.ferrybuildingmarketplace.com/ On Saturdays they do a farmers market in Nice and you can get a lot of good things. Walk to Pier 39. GET The San Francisco popout Maps-I love this map popout-one can see where you are-=) no need to think, especially on holidays. (Look at the photos.) I have About 20 of these map to the different cities .. It was so helpful when I was in Europe! To save money: get the "Go San Francisco" http://www.smartdestinations.com/san-francisco-attractions-and-tours/_d_Sfo-p1.html?pass = Sfo_Prod_Go Cable Car (Union Square Ferry Building to Pier 39 Alcatraz or Angel Island Wharf Japan Town Chinatown Coit Tower Lombard Street Fishermen's Union Square Shopping Golden Gate Park – Walk across the bridge of the Academy of Sciences of Union Street Ocean Beach Exploratorium Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco Zoo Westfield Shopping Center Yerba DeYoung Museum Fair Buena Gardens SF Giants AT & T Park Take the ferry to Tiburon or Sausalito Segate is a great way to get around the city. Gray Line Yosemite in a day departing daily 7 a.m. San Francisco Giants Baseball Game 49ers football games Winchester Mystery Mansion House-motorized overrated. Gray Line Cable Car City Tour * _ ~ unique places in San Francisco-A should be open minded and bring your camera for tons of photos.!! Always bring our guests from out of town to these places. Early dinner at Asia SF on 6 pm and then a show at Beach Blanket Babylon .. They loved it and never forget SF. Â To show the average price / Comedy / sports, etc.. Try www.goldstar.com Academy Science overnight admission ticket of $ 10 in advance. Http: / / www.yelp.com / biz / pho-garden-san-f … – Try the challenge Tel http://sf.backpage.com/community / classif … San Jose Winchester Mystery House and Great Mall in Milpitas outputs. Santa Cruz-San Jose 30 minutes and less than an hour's drive south of San Francisco, Santa Cruz Beach Boalkwalk – The Mystery Spot http://www.beachboardwalk.com/: http://www.mysteryspot.com/ Another 20 minutes away-the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium/Pier- overnight. (Romantica) check the beautiful shore of Caramel to see Pebble Beach. Napa Wine Country is 2 hours north of San Francisco. They have wine route that brings you no hotel is not SF.
